I know how to lock an anchor using Word 2003...but I can't find a way to do
so using Word 2007.

Anybody know the answer?

Thanks.

It really is the same in both versions:

- Right-click the object and choose "Format Object" (or "Format Text
Box" or whatever the object is).

- Go to the Layout tab and click the Advanced button.

- If the text wrapping is in-line, set it to something else (in-line
objects don't have anchors).

- On the Picture Position tab of the Advanced Layout dialog, check the
Lock Anchor option.

BTW, there's a lot of misunderstanding floating around regarding what
"Lock Anchor" does. Its only purpose is to prevent accidentally
dragging the anchor from one paragraph to another. It specifically
does *not* lock the anchor to the current page -- there's nothing in
Word that allows that. If the anchor paragraph moves to another page,
the anchor and the object will go with it.
