I have the same problem:

I'm using:

Word 2003

Win XP Professional SP2

The graphic is a company logo, I don't know what the format is.

Looked at the knowledge base article 312838

Did not download the the latest service pack for Office XP since it did not
list Office 2003 as being applicable.

I did do the registry changes as given in the article.

This did not solve the problem.

I undid the registry changes.

Is there a way to get Word 2003 to stop printing the image upside down and
mirror imaged?

Do you have the 2003 second service pack? Is the logo a scanned image?

I am having a similar problem on Windows XP Word 2002. I have a jpeg image in
the footer of my document which prints upside down and back to front on some,
but not all, HP printers. It looks fine on screen and prints fine on Ricoh
printers. Images in the body of the document are fine on the HP printer.

Any suggestions for a cure would be greatly appreciated.
