I can select the wmf file but the image does not show up (or print) in the
document. I have tried this on both a 2007 created document (now in
compatability mode) as well as creating a new document in 2010 format.
I desperately need this to work!

have also tried different file types - png, jpeg, and bmp.
In the meantime, the picture control inserted by 2010 is just
unusable. However, if you have a copy of Word 2007 available anywhere,
you can open the document there and insert the picture. When you take
the document back to 2010, the content control will operate correctly;
you can change the picture, resize it, etc. It also continues to work
if you use the Convert command to get out of compatibility mode. It's
just the initial loading of the control that doesn't work.
