We have documents that are created from a piece of software called Hot Docs.
They have a table of contents that follows the 1, 1.1, 2, 2.1,2.2 numbering
pattern. When we use save as to save it to a new document the numbers change
to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. When I go to bullets and numbering and select a pattern
the tabs get messed up. When I undo it afterwords, the document is back to
the way it was before I selected save as. I have also seen in the undo
"toggle revision marks".

G'day "Stuart Reicher" <Stuart...@discussions.microsoft.com>,

It sounds as if hot docs is applying another template - I suggest you
contact them.
