I need to type out a stack of documents that I have on hard copy, I have been
told about Windows Journal and how it can import and convert a scanned copy
of a document. Does Microsoft Word have that capability, or is there another
way of doing it? I have Vista on my desktop. I am hoping to save some time
(and my wrists).

You can scan it in with OCR software. You will have to proofread all of them
tho - OCR isn't perfect.

The Microsoft Office Document Imaging program contains a optical character
recognition (OCR) tool.
