Everytime I open a new Word document, there is already a table open on the
document. I have to delete it everytime I use Word. I need to get rid of
this table but I have no clue how.

See: http://word.mvps.org/FAQS/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm

Then, to get rid of the table, click on the table, then click Table >
Delete, and select Table.
