Before we moved all our documents into folders…we could search for a document
by typing *and document name and then another*. Now that we only have
folders…we are not able to search in this manner. Is there a short cut for
searching quickly for a particular folder (similar to the shortcut to quickly
locate a document)?

I know we can do this in My Computer...but would like to be able to search
quickly in Microsoft Word open dialogue box

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

If you have a version of Word before 2007, you can use the search tool on
the tools tab of the file open Window - you need to tell the search tool
where to search or it won't find anything. In Word 2007 and all versions, it
is much simpler to use Windows Explorer to find your files, which you can
then drag and drop onto Word (or right click and open).
