How do i get rid of blue wavy lines under all of my text in word?

I constantly have blue wavy lines underneath all of my text in word documents
and i can not find a way to disable it.

Hi John,

If you're in Word 2002 or 2003 turn off the
[ ] Mark Formatting Inconsistencies
choice in Tools=>Options Edit.

If you're applying formatting to text manually rather than using Word styles you'll see more of these markings.

If you're in Word 2007, you may get blue wavy lines to show possible contextual spelling issues.
