I tend to accidentally toggle Insert when reaching for the Home or Delete
keys. How can I *disable* the Insert/Overwrite feature in Word so that it
doesn't turn on OVR every time I hit the key?

Please do not suggest purchasing an Office keyboard--I must use what my
company provides. I really need a software fix to disable the key.

Oh, score! I did some experimenting and just figured it out on my own! Try
this, you guys:

In WORD:

Tools --> Customize… --> Options

Click Keyboard…

Under Categories, highlight "All Commands"

Under Commands, highlight “Overtype”

Under Current keys, highlight “Insert”

Click Remove

cinaea, you rock! Why didn't I ever think of that the last 10 years?

Gobsmacked,
