Hi all

Is there any way I can convert a PDF file into a Word document? A colleague
of mine has scanned a document and saved it as a PDF, as they don't think
they can put it into a Word document. I need to edit the document but
obviously can't as it is PDF format. I don't have PDF Writer. I use Word XP.

Thank you.
Louise

The whole point of PDF (a graphical format) is to inhibit editing. If you
had the full version of Acrobat you *may* be able to convert it. The only
other solutions are third party utilities of varying effectiveness eg
PDF2TEXT, or OCR software and in the case of the latter it *may* be
necessary to print the PDF and rescan into OCR.

If you want to e-mail the pdf to my mailbox (remove the capitals) I will
take a look at it when I get a minute and see what may be possible.

You need third party software to do that. Even then things need to be
carefully proofread.
