I am creating a two column Word doc but wish to place some comments - a
sentence ot two - in the margin space. Does anyone know how to do this in
Word 2003? This technique may also be called a sidebar.

Use a textbox or a frame. Textboxes offer more formatting options; frames
are part of the main body so can be included in TOC.
