I've got a problem where MS Word won't release/reset printer settings after
the first print job; I have to set/reset my printing preferences for every
subsequent print job. I have had a technician check out the printer adn
there are no problems with the software/drivers. An example of the problem:
I choose to print 2 copies of Document 1. When I try to print Document 2, 3,
4, etc., it defaults to 2 copies. If I close out of MS Word for a
significant period, the settings will finally release and I'll be back at the
default settings.

Does anyone know if there is a setting I can change in MS Word so it'll
release print preferences and revert to the default settings after each print
job?

Hi,

I also have this problem. My users pointed it out when changing printer tray
settings on one document, it will keep those settings for all documents that
you open while you have the first document open. When you close Word down it
will restore the defaults back.

Help!!!

Thanks guys and girls.
