How do I get colored text to print in a document?

In Word 2002 when I use a colored font that text does not appear in the
printed document--I get a blank space where that text should be. This occurs
with hyperlinks as well. I can change to black and everything prints. Yes,
I have a color printer with a color cartrigde that is half full.
