I need to figure out a way to split a multiple page Word document into
separate files... For instance, a 12-page document would be split into twelve
1-page documents. Is this possible either in Word itself, or with a
third-party application? I have access to Office 2000, XP, and 2003 in my
office, if it comes down to a particular version capability. Thanks in
advance for any help or ideas.

P.S. Copy/paste will not work because each page has tables on it and copying
and pasting screws that all up.

I suspect you may need to save the original file as twelve different docs
and then delete out the info you don't need from each.

Hi,

If you have a "Heading 1" at the start of each page, you can change to
"View > Outline", and click on the "Create subdocuments" button.

Make a backup first if you want to keep the original file.

If you don't have "Heading 1" paragraphs at the start of each page, it may
be worth the trouble putting them in.

If you don't want that, you can do the deed with a macro. Perhaps you can
find such a macro with Google, or you can ask in one of the VBA groups.

Regards,
Klaus
