My word document has a line that appeared in it after I had entered and I
can't get rid of it. When I look at the reveal codes it doesn't show up
there.

Try going to Edit | Go To and choose Object. This should hopefully allow you
to grab the line and delete it.

Unfortunately that won't do it... The line is created as a Paragraph Border,
not as a graphic object.

To tinladie - click in the paragraph immediately above the line, then go to
Format>Borders & Shading - on the Borders page click None (alternatively you
can chose None from the Borders button on the Formatting Toolbar).

You might also want to take a look at the settings in Tools>AutoCorrect...
Where you'll find a number of "automatic" features you may want to control
or turn off completely.

Neither of those solutions worked. Any other suggestions?
