"Keep text flat" is used in conjunction with the 3D options. If you select it,
the text won't rotate along with a rotated shape, which means that it will be
easier to read. Try it for yourself.

The icon indicates that the document being viewed has been digitally
signed. To insert a signature in Word 2007, go to Insert > Signature
Line and you should see 'Microsoft Office Signature Line' as an option.

If you have a scanned example of your signature (such as a .GIF file),
you can insert your signature as an image in a document.
