Hi, my default file location is set to a certain folder, but when i save a
doc to a different folder and then click on File Open, then work go back to
the last saved folder instead of my default file location. (default file
location is set in Tools, Options, file locations)

This is the way Word works. The default folder applies only when you first
open Word. After that it defaults to the last previously used folder except
when you Save As an existing file, in which case it defaults to the folder
where the file is stored.

Hi Suzanne, is there really no way to customise this behavior? I'll keep
trying to find a workarround.
Thank-you for your response, I just had to make sure it is a "By Design"
issue.
