Header and footer size in a word doc

Hello,

I am trying to adjust my header and footer size in ms word 2002. I can
only input text 5 inches down the page because of the header size. If I
adjust the vertical bar to make the header smaller it adjusts to make
the header the entire page. Can someone please help me with this???

Not sure if I understand your question. Try clicking on File |
Page Setup | Layout | Vertical alignment: Top | OK.

Change the vertical alignment from center to top.
