Auto insert period with spacebar double tap

Double tapping the space bar in many SMS applications for cell phones
auto-inserts a period before the two spaces. This has branched into my Word
experience and I find my self double tapping the space bar to no avail. It
would be nice if this could be added to MWord.

Can you use your Auto Text options to change two spaces to a period and two
spaces? Check the section called "Create a new AutoText Entry in this article:

AutoText is no appropriate for this application (having to press F3 would be
a lot more work than typing a period), and I doubt seriously that an
AutoCorrect entry for this replacement would work.
