how do you fix a template download error

When I try to use any of the templates in Word, an error message appears. I
have an internet connection, I am in online mode. Any suggestions?

As a workaround, you can try downloading the template(s) directly from the
Templates section at Office online:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/FX100595491033.aspx?pid=CL100632981033.
Make sure to save the downloaded templates in your user templates folder.
