I find that my formatting goes mad in larger (30 pages+) documents and keeps
changing as I move around. Is there any way to stop this? I tend to cut and
paste copy alot. And I tend to manually adjust formatting of text as I don't
really know how to use 'styles'. I use 'format painter' mostly though.

thanks

Just a quick reminder, turn your paragraph sign on so that you can see it on
the screen. When picking up a paragraph, DO NOT include the paragraph sign
and your paste will take the formatting of the destination area. Of course,
if you are transferring several paragraphs, they need to go separately. I
don't know of a cure for that problem except to use the format printer. Try
working with styles, it really isn't that difficult. Incidently, your
document has a precedent of three formats, one is format for the document,
one if style formatting and the last is manual formatting of portions of your
document. As I understand it, the manual overrides the style and the style
overrides the document format.
