At work when I press CTRL+DEL all the characters to the next blank space are
deleted. I use this feature all the time and this feature is not working on
my system at home, and it is driving me crazy!

I have checked the Tools > Customize > Commands and the Keyboard command for
DeleteWord is CTRL+DEL on the system at work and at home. Generally speaking
I haven't done very much customization of my keyboard, but I thought I should
check anyway.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Using Word 2000 on XP.

cheers,
klam

Hi =?Utf-8?B?a2xhbQ==?=,

When you press this at home do you get any messages in the status bar? What does
actually happen?

Is Track Changes (under the tools menu, or the Trk button in the status bar)
active on your system, perhaps?

Does Ctrl+Backspace work (deleting a word in the other direction)?

Hi Cindy,

Thx for the response...I checked for a couple of days then stopped.

I get no message in the status bar.

One character is erased, not the whole word.

Yes, Ctrl+Backspace works (deleting a word in the other direction).

Any suggestions/thoughts on what's going on?

thx a mint!
karen
