I'm typing with Ms Word and inserting equation. But after I typed the
equation and when I go back to Ms Word, they plus sign becomes funny symbol
like lightning. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

Let's start with the obvious -- what fonts have you told Equation
Editor to use? With Equation Editor open, click Style > Define.
These three styles MUST be set to Symbol font: L.C. Greek, U.C.
Greek, and Symbol. The other styles may be set to any font you
want to use. Normally these will coincide with the font you're
using for your document.
