Dear Friends,

I want to insert caption to my figures, to be able to make table of figures in Word 2007. When I press insert caption button, the Caption Window appears and in the caption box is written Figure 1-1, but when I press OK, it shows Figure 0-1.

I have checked the previous paragraphs and I do not have any blank paragraph with heading style.

I would highly appreciate it if somebody can help me solve this issue.

I would be looking forward to hearing your kind response.

Best regards.

It won't give you the format X-1 unless it has been connected somewhere
to a "Multi-level list." If you put in a Heading 1 and set its numbering
to some number, does that number appear in the Caption?

Go through the steps for including a heading number in your caption number,
and _remove_ whatever shows up there.

Dear Peter,

After I used Heading Styles (not levels), the problem was solved.

Best regards.
