Handwriting Recognition

Has anyone here had problems with Writing Pad and Write Anywhere and how did
you fix it?

I am disappointed to say "help" never arrived but I was reassured that
others are having the saame problem and Microft people are working on this
problem and believe it is related to SP3.

Hi Frank,

It's not clear if it was SP3 or one of the MS security updates that did this, but yes, it does happen and on more than one version
of Windows.

If you are working with Microsoft support on this can you provide the 'SR' reference number they assigned to you for the issue
please?

Any word yet on a solution to the handwriting recognition issue? Like others,
after installing SP3 I have lost the handwriting recognition function. When
hovering over the icon to open the text input panel it states that "character
pad is not available for the input language you have selected"

All my language settings are set to english and have never been changed.
Text input worked perfectly fine 1 hr. before the service pack 3 install.

Has anyone had any luck with resolving this issue? I find it very
frustrating that the Drawing Pad works but neither the Writing Pad or the
Write Anywhere works for me.
