I've a document I'd like to save as a .csv file, but (contrary to advice in
the help facility), that option is not listed in the available file types.
The original document is a tab delimited text file in which I've replaced
all tabs with a comma. (It was exported from the address book of my mail
client, and I need it in .csv format in order to import it into the GMail
contacts list.) What am I missing?

Thanks, Ron

CSV is merely a comma delimited plain text file.
Save as plain text and put the filename in quotes eg "filename.csv"
You *may* need to put quotes around each field in the text file e.g.
"Field1", "Field2", etc

Thank you. I was pretty sure of that, but confused by the Word2010 help
file which indicates there should be - though there isn't - a separate file
type "save as" option for each of the .txt and .csv categories. There is no
explicit .csv file type in the dropdown.

Thx again, Ron
