When I go to the envelope dialog box, it remembers my last envelope size and
the default return address, but nothing else. I want to customize font and
position. I can do it separately each time I open the dialog box, but I'd
like to change the defaults, so that my font and position are there ready
for me each time. I tried a macro without success, because it would end up
with an open dialog box. Is there a way?

Hi Dimitri,

the Envelope Address is a style and you need to use Format, Style, Envelope
Address to make the changes permanent. You'll find that Word places the
address inside a borderless frame, so I found the easiest way to make the
changes is to create an address, use the Add to Document button and then add
a border to the frame so that you can see exactly what is happening in Print
Preview whilst you play with the settings to get everything as you want it.

I found the important settings were to the Frame settings: to give you a
'head start', these are the frame settings that I find perfect for DL
envelopes (close to size 10)...

Wrapping: none
Width & Height: Auto
Horizontal: position 6 cm relative to Margin
Vertical: 4cm relative to page with Lock Anchor and Move with Text boxes
cleared.

Don't forget to check that 'Add to Template' button to get it to save the
changes permanently.

Terry
