Help please -- Landscae / Portrait mixup

Environment:
Windows NT 4.x Server
14 Pentium 4 workstation with Windows 2000 Pro and 256 MB RAM
HP 2100 printer using a built-in Jet Direct card.
Microsoft Office XP (2002)

Problem:
Printing from Word occasionally results in a "Portait/Landscape"
output.

To explain: The output is a portait page, but the page gets cut off
about 8 inches down from the top and it flows off the page on the
right edge. Almost as if it were trying to print a landscape image
but with the paper turned to be portrait.

The worst part is that it happens intermittently. With 6 users
sharing that printer (the other staff use other printers without a
problem) and sending more than a dozen print jobs each daily, it still
only happens once or twice each day.

We've changed print drivers several times and flashed the BIOS on the
Jet Direct card twice. We've run out of options. Does anyone have
any ideas?
