We have Microsoft Works Suite 2000 with Microsoft Word 20000.
When we try to open a word document we get this message:
"The system is dangerously low in resources. Would you like to terminate
the following application? WinWord(not responding)"
The computer freezes up and we have to restart.
We have tried checking for viruses, including NIMDA. We have reinstalled
Word. We have deleted all temp files. We have fixed corrupt files using
the System File Checker. When we tried to change the name of Normal.dot,
we got a message that WinWord caused a general protection fault.
We have plenty of memory and other applications, like games and internet
work fine.
Our documents are trapped. Thank you for any advice you can offer!

Maybe try
http://www.getfaxing.com/macroerror.htm
if you are using WinFax (or installed it on your system with NSW 2002)
