locked document
Jonathan Frantz
Microsoft word no longer lets me type, save, or do
anything else with it. Whenever i try to type a letter,
it gives me the message "This command is not available
because the document is locked for edit" Also all the
menus have all their options greyed out.
any advice on what i can do for this? I tried
uninstalling office, and reinstalling, but that did not
work,

either you have a Word macro virus or you have Word2002 that you have not
activated yet: after 30 days without activation, Word2002 will go into a
non-edit mode until it is activated. Look for Activate under the Help menu.
