Starting today, I have a win 98se workstation that cannot access his folders
on a network drive ( NT Server ) So far it only seems to be that
workstation. It is running Office 97 Sr2b. When he opens the network drive
though word's open folder, all the names of the folders and files are
????????????? some of them will open with more files and folders with names
?????????? and some give an I/O error ( not a blue screen )

Has anyone seen this? Any ideas? I would really help me.

Thanks,jb

Answered in word.newusers. Please do not post the same question separately
to more than one newsgroups. If you feel you MUST post to more than one,
CROSS-POST by putting all the NG names in the header of a single message.

My bad, I didn't know where to post it and I want to reach the most people.
Most other newsgroups I use, don't want you to cross post.

Sorry, Thanks for the info on both word and this newsgroup.

We do discourage cross-posting to half a dozen or more NGs, but duplicate
posting is even more discouraged. At least when you cross-post, then
everyone sees all the answers to the question (and users of fairly
sophisticated newsreaders don't even see the cross-posts after the first).
