Whenever I try to do a SaveAs in Word XP (SP 2.0, under NT
4.0), I get a dialog box that says "This is not a valid
filename" etc., etc. The same thing happens with Excel
and Powerpoint. SaveAs is the function used when saving a
new file, so this really gums up the works.

It doesn't matter what file name I use.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled.

I've virus scanned, with yesterday's (12/4) definition
file.

I've had someone else log in as themselves, and it still
does it.

I've removed all template files.

What are you trying to use as the filename?

Just making sure you weren't trying to use forward slashes. That is the most
common cause of this message: users trying to include dates in mm/dd/yy
format.
