My mouse will not work on any Word document.
I cannot select any text or anything in a document.
Also 'double-clicking' to open a document will open/launch the
application but not open the document! I have to then 'open' the
document.
This happens on ALL ms word documents.
This happens in word 2003 and the newly installed 2007 Ultimate on
W2k3 Server. Latest updates including todays ms updates.
Also of note
yes I am the creator of most of the documents,
yes I am the Sys admin,
no the documents aren't protected,
yes I have the latest graphics and mouse drivers.
and yes in ever other application on my system the mouse works
correctly including Open Office and Google Docs.
Any ideas.
I am thoroughly p.o.'d

I've seen this issue several times recently. I've no idea why it's
happening, but the "cure" so far seems to be to delete the Data key in the
registry, which is located here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word

So far, this has been fixing it... but nobody seems to know exactly why, or
whether there's some intermediate step you could take that accomplishes the
same result.
