I am running both Windows NT4 Workstation and Windows 2000 Server RC2 on
different systems. I'd like to upgrade them to the full Windows 2000 but
I'd rather do it from a clean install. Does the upgrade version of
Windows 2000 require NT4 to be present in order to install or will it
install from a clean drive? The key one is the NT4 system since it's my
Point of Sale system server. I got the copy of RC2 to check it out and
now that I'm ready to buy, I want to buy the right product. Because
internet connectivity on a network is a factor on both systems I'm led
to understand that the Server edition handles it without Third party
software but the Professional one requires it. I own two copies of NT4
Workstation so I qualify for the upgrade version.
