Hi all,
I am trying to create a script to force a laptop to switch to "online mode"
automatically. I manage to force a synchronization starting "mobsync.exe
/logon", but after the synchronization completes the laptop stay in "offline
mode" and I have to manually click the icon in the system tray to switch
online. Does someone know if it is possible to force the "online" status
(either using cmds or VBScript)?
Btw, I found no documentation about mobsync.exe command-line switches. As
far as I know you can use only /logon (quick synch) and /logoff (full
synch).

Thanks in advance

Why are you trying to force your machine online? Does it drop offline
while using it? If so, there are some issues you can work out that
will tweak the offline/online status....

Thanks Jeffrey for your answer.
I have not these kind of problems. I want to force the PC to switch online
to prevent not-too-smart users to work offline even when they are connected
to the network. I am using a WMI application to detect network connection
state and it works perfectly. Unfortunately I am only able to force a
synchronization, but not to force the "online" status.

Cheers

OK.. That is beyond my experience..

You may want to post this message to the scripting and/or WMI
newsgroups as they have some gurus there who might be able to help
you.

Good Luck.
