Offline Files Synchronization

I use Offline Files but am away from the "server" often for a week at
a time. This means that every time I log on, log off, or change
network settings (including a wireless connection dropping for a
moment), I get the synchronizing window. When that fails (since the
server is not present), the dialog box hangs there until I click OK.

A few things would make this better:
- Is there a way to not have that dialog hang there (and prevent log
off)?
- Can Offline Files wait for the proper network before trying to sync?
Could it check subnet or look for the presence of the serve before
trying to sync?

Any thoughts welcome.
