Disc shows warning that it is full.

My PC (Windows XP Home Edition) has been warning me that it is running out of
space. I have cleared all unnecessary items such as music, drafts, pictures
and everything else I can imagine. Have cleared cookies, caches and still
there is no room on the disc. I have removed unused programs. I am down to
bare essentials and the disc warning still comes up and I cannot download
updates. I am using Registry Mechanic and McAfee which tells me that
everything is fine. I've used Net Diagnostics which also tells me that
everything is up and running fine. I have no problems accessing the internet
or getting shut down. Screens don't freeze. I can IM, stream music take
pictures, etc. Where is the Wizard of Oz? Help!
