Hi, I download from my Peer-to-Peer network overnight and
everytime i wake up and check my computer it's like it
totally restarted. none of my files have been downloaded
and XP is at the User Login screen. Also, when i open my
download program after this happens, i have to totally
reconfigure it. Almost like i had never installed it
before.

Windows XP will restart if there is a serious error usually caused by
hardware or driver failure. It does this to stop anything else from getting
damaged.
