If going through the procedure outlined here does not work, then you may
well have a physical problem with the printer.. it is not exactly new, is
it..

I don't do 'dual boot'.. if I want two operating systems, I switch drives..
saves any conflict where the OS'es are slugging it out for control of a
device.. no help to you of course..
Somebody with experience of this problem (that or the patience of ten) will
be able to help you better than I can in this instance..
What you may want to consider is getting two removable drive housings, and
just plugging in whichever operating system takes your fancy.. I can't help
but feel that they are better isolated from one another.. the Windows 9x
family always want total control of a system (and generally get it)..

My ISP was Freeserve (dial-up) and I maintained a website on Freeserve using
FTP Explorer. All worked fine. When I moved to XP I also changed to
broadband with another ISP (Homecall). Our course, to get into my website I
had to dial-up Freesreve - but found that no matter what I tried I could not
get into the website. So once a month I boot up W98, dial-up Freeserve and
upload the updates to the website. No-one seems to be able to expalin why I
cannot access the website with dial-up and XP.
Best wishes
Peter
I may have misunderstood.. I thought that you might have a dual boot setup..
Try this.. remove the printer from the configuration and then reboot.. shut
down again, reconnect the printer, and then reboot letting Windows find the
printer and install a driver for it..
