1. Navigate to Control Panel System Hardware Device Manager
Ports. Highlight LPT1 Right click and select Properties from the
menu. Port Settings Select Use any interrupt assigned to the
port.
2. Enter the BIOS setup as the computer boots. Enter the settings for
the parallel port and change to standard parallel printer port, SPP ,
or bi-directional port or words to that effect but _not_ EPP or ECP or
ECP&EPP.
