Printers don't work while online-New WinXP install

Just installed WinXP. Installed all new XP compatible
drivers for just about everything, including Canon C530
multipass and Canon S750, and modem. Both are set to work
online; both do not work while connected to dial-up
internet connection even if trying to print a file on my
C drive. While offline both work fine. Any suggestions?
