I loaded driver software and received a warning that it
could damage my OS (XP) because it (XP) was not
configured with said printers in mind. (I removed
software promptly.) Is this true; is there a fix; if it
is true AND where do I find such a fix?

I went to Lexmark to get the driver and had now problem
after that.

lexmark used to incl a 'flyer' w/their printers
which said in effect to 'ignore the warning'
and hit 'continue'
they also had on their 'install disks'
and
in doing so - all works fine
if you have current/correct driver(s)
so
go ahead and install
if problems - then post em and you'll get ans's
take it fr there
