Deleting Folders and Subfolders

In Internet Exp.orer under Favorites in one of my Folders
there is a subfolder named "New Folder" and a 2nd Folder
under Favorites with the same name "New Folder". There is
nothing in eiter folder. When I try to delete either the
folder or subfolder named "New Folder" I get the
following error message: "Error Deleting New Folder. It
is being used by another person or program. Close any
program that might be using the file and try again." I've
tried everything I can think of to delet or even rename
and use the "New Folder" but nothing works. Would
appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hi,
Try booting in Safe Mode (hit F8 several times before
Windows logo appears after reboot) and then try to delete
the folder.
