Internet intermittently dropped by random networked machines

Internet access intermittely dropped by one machine or another for no
apparent reason on six machine LAN. Machine-to-machine network access
unaffected. Resetting ATT gateway and switch usually does not fix the
problem. Rebooting the affected machine usually does. ATT techs stumped,
thus far.
