Is there a command line option to be able to disconnect
and reconnect a network interface. Or if not is there
a way to activate a short cut via the command line?

I am attempting to disable the network interface and
certain network services with the use of a single shortcut.
Also bring up the same connection and service with
perhaps another short cut.

Any ideas?

Hi Patrick, there is an easy way to disable your network interface. On the
desktop, right click My Network Places > click Properties > right click
Local Area Connection (or the interface you want) > click Create Shortcut >
a shortcut will be placed on the desktop if you click Yes > Now all you
have to do to disable this connection is > right click the shortcut and
click Disable. To re-enable > right click and choose Enable.

You can also click " show icon in notification area when connected " button
under the general tab in Local Area Connections Properties window. This will
place an icon in the system tray near the clock which will perform the same
function when right clicked.(Disable or Enable)
Hope this is what you are looking for.
Cheers...Bob
