Is it possible to burn a music CD onto a blank CD using
built-in CD burning software in Windows XP? How?

You can use windows media player. Copy the songs from
the cd you want to burn to your hd. Then select the
songs in WMP and select copy to cd.

I found it easier to create a playlist and then select n
the songs in the playlist to burn.

If the idea of creating a playlist and Media Player is too complicated you
can simple drag and drop your MP3's into the drive that represents your CD
Burner. When done select copy to CD by right clicking the CD Burner drive.
When the wizard comes up you will be asked if you want to burn them as data
(as is for backup purposes) or you want to create an audio CD.

Hope that helps
