Not yet 2 years old MP3 Player($300.00) not supported or working due to
trying to update software/firmware from Creative. Tried multiple drivers from
Creative and none work, tried a re-install from original CD with product. It
points to the device itself as seems to have no firmware inside it to connect
as software on PC seems fine. Windows media player 11 working OK but no
connection. Device is trying to recover all I need is a driver to get it
going but none will work with WMP 11(tried Nomad/Creative players same
problem). USB is not seeing device anybody got a clue how to get it going as
Creative have told me they don't support this products anymore. Are 4 USB
ports restricted to only 4 devices and can't handle multiple devices plugged
in at different time periods. Is this the problem? No more updates for me in
future and looks like more business for Zune or Apple. John

I know very little about computers. I have a creative zen and when I try to
load music into it I get a message that my Windows Media 10 is incompatible.
Also, message says my zen is not connected when it is! Please help!

Sorry to hear that we have another person with the same problem! Tried
yesterday rolling back my WMP 11 it went back to 9 and when I tried to get
WMP 10 it told me it was incompatible with my system. Retried original CD
again and message flashed on "MTP Device" and stalled there. So still have a
piece of junk. Sad as was thinking of getting their sound system for my PC.

Solved my problem by paying a service fee to Creative plus the cost of a long
distance call. It took almost one hour to correct as had to reload Windows
Media Player back to version 9 to get it to work. Plus a Microsoft update!
Which I think was the culprit as when that was removed my computer saw my
device at last. So from there on it was easy to get hooked up again. I just
hope however this will be stable solution as worried about new updates
effecting it again. John

Hi. I recently had the same set of problems - when I plugged the USB
cable from my computer into the Zen, Windows XP (XP Pro SP2, Athlon
3500) said it had found a Creative Zen, but then could not find any
software for it. The Creative software I found wouldn't install because
it could not find a supported device.

However...

After searching various links from Creative Australia's site, I ended
up at the Australian Creative Support download page (I hope the link
works correctly)

http://tinyurl.com/3hw8vd

The first download
1. Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version 1.30.03 (1.13 MB)
(actual file name JB3MV2_PCWDRV_US_1_30_03.EXE) installed a driver and
my computer was suddenly able to recognise the Zen... months of
searching over at last!

NOTE: Other countries' Creative sites do not appear to host the file I
downloaded from the Australian site...

Good luck
