I am experiencing aa disconnec and reconnect almost every 5 minutes. My
internet connection is not dropping but Messenger is. Any ideas on how to
resolve?
I've added it to the firewall, router, just about everything I've been able
to find.

Greetings Edwin,

Is this the latest version of Messenger? If this is on Windows Messenger, there's been
plenty of improvements in Windows Live Messenger which prevent this from happening and you
should seriously consider using that instead.

http://download.live.com/messenger for the latest.

Sorry I should have stated what version I am using. It is the latest
available download version. I upgraded to that after getting frustrated with
Windows Messenger doing the same thing.
I have notcied that occaisionally my internet connection drops for a second
then comes back. It could be my wireless router, not exactly sure.
Is there a way to monitor the status on a continuous basis so I will know
for sure if that is whats causing it? Router is a TrendNet 54Mbps 802.11g
Wireless firewall Router model TEW-432BRP.

Hi
Once you are logged into your router, click on management, then click on remote management. At the right next to UPNP, select disabled, and click apply.
