Component Transfer Error when installing

I am having a problem installing Infogrames Grand Prix 4
Program. My PC is only a month old and has all the pre-
requisites for the game but when I try to install it I
get a 'Component Transfer Error'
Any advice on why this may be happening and how to get
round it would be appreciated

Yup, tried that first. They suggested it may be a
corrupted CD so I took it back to the shop who (of
course) installed it first time on their machine....Went
back to the vendors support line and they suggested it
must be something specific to my machine that's causing
the problem. I also have an outstanding call with PC
vendor but no solution yet....
