XP PRO did pick up my printer and installed drivers for
it. Hoever every time i shut down my cpu and bring it up
it is looking for drivers for the printer.

I think you need to download the new XP drivers from HP's web site. I
remember something about them saying you should not use the ones that come
with XP (or something like that)

I just set up a system with a 932 and had to get the new
driver, Also you need to leave the original printer in
windows or it will look for it everytime it boots.

Correct ... you can download the software from here for the 932c.
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/software/930-enu-2kxpinfu.exe.html

Download it to a new folder and run the '930-enu-2kxpinfu.exe' file. The
'hpfuih04.hlp' file and all other required files will be in the 'win2k_xp'
sub-folder. Do an update for the drivers and point the wizard to this
folder.

I had the same problems with the new driver from HP. However, I was using a
parallel connection rather than USB because the HP USB drivers locked up my
computer in ME. For kicks, I deleted the printer and the software and
hooked it up USB and it worked fine ever since.
